Hot Off  The Press

New Comers Social this month will feature special guests, Billy and Doris Upchurch, our neighbors. They will be here to share their knowledge of the history of this area. They were born and raised here and have wonderful
information about how this area has changed. Come meet them and all your neighbors on Sunday, April 6. We will have a reception following their talk.

Thanks to everyone who planned, shopped, cooked, decorated, set up and cleaned up for the St. Patrick’s Irish Dinner. Gloria and David Slugg, the leaders, said it would not have been possible without those great helping hands.
 

Free Tickets are available to The United States Army Field Band Concert at Meymandi Hall on Monday, March 31. We will be taking the bus. Free tickets are available at the office if you are not on the bus. If you are willing to car pool, let us know.
 

Ladies’ Breakfast
will be cooked and served by the
gentlemen of the community on May 3. They have planned the menu which is listed in the
calendar. If you are interested in attending you need to RSVP by the Monday before the breakfast.
What meal are the ladies going to prepare for the gentlemen?

Clubhouse

Cleaning changes:

The clubhouse has hired a new cleaning crew beginning March 21. Richardson & Richardson is the company name. The new crew will be more detailed in their cleaning work.

Pool:

Water aerobics will be returning May 6. There will be three levels of aerobics: beginner,
intermediate and advanced. This is always a popular activity and lots of fun. The opening of the pool will depend on the weather for draining, repainting and refilling. We will keep you informed.

Bus Book:

The new sign up pages will be available on Monday, March 24 at 10:30 am. Last month we
divided the book by calendar weeks and placed each week in a different area of the clubhouse. This worked quite well and there were no traffic jams. Remember to put your name on the waiting list. If you do not get on this bus trip, we will plan another one at a later date.

Baseball:

Broach Sports Tours has a baseball trip scheduled on Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17 to Oriole Park at Camden Yards to see the New York Yankees play the Baltimore Orioles. For more information contact Al Roos.

	Everyone had a good time at the Newcomers Social. At right, Peggy Sheaffer is making new homeowner Rita Schneider feel very welcome.  Bob and Clare Cady listen with interest in the orientation.
	Betty Morgan takes her Krispy Kreme Doughnuts seriously.
	Russell Cain and Al Roos enjoy a friendly cup of coffee during the Doughnut Day social.
	CPR instructor watches as John Worsley works on his model for the class held recently in the clubhouse. Everyone said the information was very beneficial and the instructor made the procedure easy to understand.
Our Saint Patrick’s Dinner was a huge success.

	Joe and Angie Lacenere are busy with kitchen duty for the big Irish meal.
