NEW
HERITAGE PINES RECREATIONAL
COMPLEX TO OPEN
June 1, 2008
As many of you are aware, work
has been taking place to convert
the Tennis Court area into a new
and improved multi-purpose
Recreational Complex.
The Board of Directors recently
voted to add to the Heritage Pines amenities by re-designing the
under used tennis courts into a complex that will offer more
opportunities for residents to
participate in outdoor activities.
Heretofore, much emphasis has
been placed on the installation of
two bocce courts in that area.
While that is part of the design, there will also be two
shuffleboard courts. One (1) newly re-surfaced tennis court will remain. The
existing bocce court will be converted into a horseshoe court.
The Board’s action was taken
after lengthy consideration, and it was determined that in order to “keep
pace” with surrounding communities– and to help maintain and increase the
value of our properties – it was advisable for HP to enlarge its amenities
and to provide a greater variety of activities for our “active adult
community .“

The tennis courts were scheduled
to be refurbished this year anyway, with money coming from the reserve
funds. Those funds set aside for tennis court repair will be used as part of
the re-design – with other monies coming from the planned
expenditure provided in the 2008 budget.
The Board of Directors invite all
of you to take advantage of these new amenities.
It also hopes that the expanded facility will become a new center of
activity, not just once a week – but every day.
The Board encourages individual use as well as the formation of teams with
men, women and couples participating in all of the “sports”. (continued
on page 1 in the HP addendum).
