Activities and Special Events

Dates and times of activities at Heritage Pines are published on our website and delivered in a bulletin to each home in our monthly newsletter. Many activities are ongoing and others mark special events. The clubhouse is a busy place – everyone is invited to join in.  

We have nearly forty organized activities both indoor and outdoor. They range from bingo to card games, needlework to knitting, and stretch and flex to line dancing. Outdoor activities include water aerobics, bocce, shuffleboard and pickleball. The sewing group makes pillows and lap robes for patients at Rex Hospital. Residents’ art work is featured in the clubhouse lobby. The Live and Learn series informs us of this area’s history, health and wellness information for seniors, retirees’ benefits and veterans’ affairs. Monthly Technology Talks keep us abreast of new developments on the internet and other technology topics.  

The social committee plans frequent dinners, both pot-luck and catered; dinners celebrate special holidays such as St. Patrick’s Day, Chinese New Year, and Traditional Seasonal Holiday parties. The Heritage Pines Chorus presents programs every year including “Happy Holidays” and “Summerfest.”
